I can only add, fingers crossed for all the people waiting for ages is that they have some good news in the next few weeks !

Happy New 2023.
Not much to update for the start of the year, except bunch of Kemora Grey and Daytona Grey are being built, which for UK seems to be the favourite colour.
50% of the Kemora Grey ordered have been delivered, whereas only just over 40% of the Daytona Grey have been delivered.

Morning had a couple of busy days happy new year to everyone the only reason I new anything was talking
to a performance garage about selling my car he subjected to phone Audi uk they came back with week three
four days later Audi dealer confirmed week seven for build but may move .
the performance garage owner mentioned he had a customer that was told his car was not due customer cancelled
car turned up the following week ? The other thing performance garage owner said this had happened before and added Audi are delivering cars in any order there no obvious manner be down to supply of parts or build numbers and then maybe order date ?

I've been watching this forum and associated threads with a slight sinking feeling, as I'm now 10 months (and counting) since I placed my order for a Carbon Black RS3, with week 12 2023 as predicted build week, only to find out today from my dealer (Swansay Audi in Stoke), that my car now has a 00 code against it and the build dates have disappeared!

Really hoping my order doesn't get cancelled off the system!

Went for the RS3 as downsizing from my current car (BMW F90 M5) and it seemed the perfect balance of performance and practicality - looks pretty mean too.

Getting the sense that Audi are being less than transparent and deliberately difficult to deal with.

Many moons ago (pre covid) I recall VAG/trading standars had a rule in place whereas so many weeks past that date (I think it was 12, but not ceratin) the retailer had to put you in a car. I have never had the situation arise in many new car orders. I orderer about wk12/22 also, but my order form has March 2023, it is not until this point that I can/will feel any hardship. Im assuming that the mid-late 2021 orders would have had dates in 2022 on their order forms has anybody pushed VAG for a vehicle?

Mostly everyone that's ordered the car where never given a delivery date only build dates which Audi never really followed through with... delivery dates chopping and changing radically right up until October....then builds proceeded to be removed l cancelled the finance with Audi but the Dealer will be left with the car if it arrives... ordering early on to receiving the car early was my main reason but to me the RS38Y bubble has burst its old news now etc etc

I’m similar. Very rarely see them out on the roads where I am, in sharp contrast to days gone by when you couldn’t drive around without seeing an 8V. And you still see them regularly, but not the 8Y.

Whenever I’m in mine I still get double takes from people who know what it is and boy racers and Audi folk looking round it in parking lots. Normal folk don’t take any notice and likely think it’s just a strange looking A3, and I’m ok with that.

I joined the M25 at J18 a week or so ago. I was behind a green sportback. As we joined the main carriageway, another green sportback appeared in lane 2. Both VS’s. Common as muck

I have passed other 8Ys up with me and parked next to some in the same colour and things but I can count on one hand how many times it’s happened.

I think I’ve seen 1 on the road. People who know what it is stare at mine. Not sure I like that too much. Was at a mates house too as he wanted to see the car……a Merc drive down the road and slowed right down. He turned around, looked again and gave a thumbs up. Nice as it is to have a good looking car, too much attention worries me.

Received an update this morning that my BW has been confirmed as 03/23

Well the factory has reopened and first thing this morning I’ve had a text telling me that my build is on the production line but taking longer to complete as there is a shortage of semi conductor chips. It looks like the three weeks to build, that they suggested in the ‘it’s being built‘ email maybe true then as the parts bin is empty. Still hoping for a March delivery and registration.

I think it varies from dealer to dealer. I never got a single email from ‘Audi’ just updates as and when from my sales rep.

May be worth a call to customer service at Audi, if you have the factory order number, then they may be able to disclose the information.
Couple of other members cars are also in similar holding status.
