Agree, I think it's the little upright winglet bits (don't know what to call them) they've put on the end of every piece.
Luckily they've done a version without which looks much better to me.

Saw your post on Facebook. Any update on the cause? I would think this is an isolated issue with the 8Y a the 8Y generation is over a year old now and would've been seen before.

Audi sent today to Audi Zentrum a new tank and all the pieces linked with it. The new tank should arrive on Monday. I hope it will be fixed as soon as possible.
I ordered spacers and inlet turbo, probably arrive before the car

It'll be Exclusive paint, just the seems to be the UK that isn’t getting any Exclusive painted cars at the moment (that I know of anyways). And it's LHD so from a market where they're allowed free choice of options
