ok so this is the quote " although we can also put together hybrid kits utilising Audi RS components."

so can somebody tell me what they mean by this and what makes the rs components better over "standard" tarox big brake kit?

Rs calipers will be easier to get ahold 2nd hand, Tarox will require custom parts or will work with their own parts/pads etc. I would buy genuine parts as much as possible, pads support is great and when discs wear one can buy Vw phaeton discs and swap bells over - massive save on rs tax !

ok maybe im not explaining this correctly.

1. i wont be buying anything 2nd hand thats for sure.

2.the above quote was from tuningwerkes about what the best brakes would be for the stage 4 setup for the audi a4 b7 2.0 tfsi, they mentioned the taro but also stated they could put together a hybrid system with the rs components. but i didn't understand what that meant .

would the rs parts along with the tarox big brake system become far superior than just the tarox by itself? what makes the rs better in some way?

EDIT:

OH!! so after looking on ebay for what woud come up so i had a better idea. are you saying, what tuning werks meant by the components would infact be the RS6 etc calipers. which im guessing swapping them over from the big brake tarox ones would increase better performance?

What are you intending to do with the car?. Standard size 345mm brakes can be very good on the road. Your 2.0 TFSI isn't as lardy as an RS so you have a good weight advantage . If you intend taking on the track then bigger brakes certainly help.
ECS tuning do a stage 4 kit with Porche cayenne calipers.
Awesome GTI sell ECS stuff.

ECS also do a stage 3 kit using the Q5 4 pot Brembo calipers and 345mm disks. I have just bought some of these calipers for my B8 A4 from Mike using the parts request system £528 delivered for the pair. They will work with any B7 345MM disc and they take the same pad as the Subaru STI , and the later EVO's so pretty much every pad manufacturer makes upgraded pads that fit this caliper.

I think they are simply giving you a choice regarding cost as a posed to performance. Tarox do a kit for A4s but not sure what sort of price they are but I would guess they will be a bit more than an RS set up. With regards to the hybrid part I think they'll use the RS caliper but with another 365mm disc, RS discs and pads are crazy money and the pads have a design(profiteering) flaw.

Have you asked Tuningwerkes to clarify what they meant?

yep, havent had a reply yet.

but considering ive had more success with detail replies from them than regal auto sport, ill give them some time

I would phone them tbh or if local pop in to see them, there's a lot of time wasting dreamers out there who bombard tuning companies with emails yet never spend any ££s so they tend to ignore them.
