I have 5 arm rotor wheels, and I'm wondering if the finish will get affected in winter and whether peelers are a better choice for winter.

Maybe I am just looking for an excuse to get peelers

If grit chips the lacquer on the top of the arms then they will corrode, I had it on the diamond cut parts of my Golf alloys. Once the salt gets in there's no stopping it.

If you look after them and keep them coated in wheel wax or seleant you won't have s problem. I never did with mine in the winter. Just keep up the cleaning.

So peelers for winter are a safer bet
