Roof bars,retro fit?.

Is it possible to fit them to a used car?. Mate is looking at a used S3 but it doesn't have the roof bars which he likes the look of on mine.
 
If you're just going for the visual aesthetic rather than actually using them, someone on a previous thread did mention that there are stick on ones available!. :puke2:

I really want to fit the roof rails aswell but I have only came across the sticky ones which have been spoken about and not very popular
 
The underlying structure in the roof is different on cars equipped with roof rails. Nothing is impossible of course, but the the safe bet is no, you cannot retrofit them, and it's easier just to buy a car that's already got them.
