vrbob, future and I were discussing the possibility of getting one of these arranged the other day and have subsequently fired off an email to Regal Autosport (S'ton). Awaiting reply but thought I'd start a thread about getting something finalised. The location is not set in stone so we could find somewhere more central to the South East section. Just wondering who'd be up for this and when and where to arrange it for/at.

Discuss. (35 Marks)

Josh

Still no reply from Regal Autosport to the email i sent out so maybe worth giving them a bell instead to discuss.

Not sure who else in the area has a 4wd Rolling Road though so maybe have to do some research.

Triton motorsport have a 4WD dyno. They're a Subaru specialist and it's over here tho. I'll try and ring regal a bit later and see if they'd be interested. To be fair they are a massive company and are really busy - I'm on their FB page and every day there's new pics of what they're doing, also they've got some kind of alliance or something with some American tuning company also.. Otherwise we could always trek somewhere more Guildford ish to make it more accessible to everyone?? Regal would be the best bet I think tho. Josh

OK....so it's not central to everyone in the SE section....but AMD Essex (near lakeside) offer rolling road days and if you get enough people they usually put on a BBQ if you get the numbers in :)

I am pretty sure the Comrades of VAG did one earlier this year (around May?) and worked out £35

Oh... and I am interested! lol

do it! if not we could find somewhere local to everyone with a set of rollers and just pull the haldex fuse?

fair play...would be good to get everyone together though if its possible before you ****** off :)

I'll be up for it pending location and haldex cars should generally be run in front wheel drive with the haldex fuse pulled or disconnected on earlier cars, as will kangaroo sending power back and forth which also mess's up the graph ;)

Im defintaly intrested as i tried to go along to one at surry rolling road and the bloke said he couldnt run mine. He said if it was a r32 it would be fine or the newer haldex cars.

Well I know AMD are usually always okay with large groups...I suppose it's getting round to arranging it for a day that everyone's free.... plus I'd be interested to know what AMD rollers will give me after being remapped at Bill's :) lol

Ooooo Gloucestershire way.....tad far for us SE people just for a rolling road! lol

Yeah... just realised that... I don't think we have a regional forum that Glos easily fits into being more central I guess... boo :(

You should keep an eye out on this section and pop along to a meet or RR day if your feeling left out and fancy a drive.....
