Rocker/Valve cover gasket replacement

Afternoon,

Looking to doing this job very soon as I have minimal oil leaking into the spark plug holes and down the back of the block.

I already have all the tools and gasket to carry out the job but wanted to check if there is a need for liquid gasket when doing it or is the rubber replacement gasket all that I need.

I replaced my injector loom a while ago,didn't use a new gasket and didn't use any sealant so i would say gasket only.

Just the gasket is fine. It's a bit of an annoying job, especially if the hoses at the back have seized on!

Hoses at the back?

I haven't noticed any on the back side.

Just to be clear I will be doing this on a 2008 S3.

Perhaps different valve cover to mine. Mine had these...
