Hi. Looking at buying a tt mk2 around the 2010 year. I was wondering if the mk2 convertible was relatively quiet with the roof up while driving!
We still own and will keep the A4 convertible we have , but knowing that the hood is well insulated and almost like driving a normal saloon, just wondered if the tt was the same.
Thanks

Absolutely, very quiet. Tyre noise (9J x 18-inch rims) is an issue if any but for sure nothing from the roof. Also, roof down the draught screen is ineffective - no where near as good as our previous TT 3.2 roadster.

But do we care, no way; the car's GREAT and is a GREAT option/alternative to our RS3 and A1 - each used for different purpose.

Oh and faultless since purchase in 2012, a great mega comfortable car; goes well too... :racer:

Thanks for your reply. We bought the tt and yes it's relatively quiet and wow what a lovely drive. Love it.

:blownose:Oh! And the A4 has decided to trash it's Duel mass flywheel this week. Not good. Maybe it thought it would be left out now there's a tt around.
