Rnse not playing mp3s

So my head unit says reading card for about 5 minutes then says it's empty when I know it's got music on the card anyway I can get this to work

Very little to go on here.

1. What year of car?
2. What type of SD card did you use? SD or SHDC
3. What size was it?

Cars 04 but head unit out of newer a4 card is a 4gb shdc

Doesn't look like a MK2 unit, so it wont play SDHC cards, only SD cards which are 4GB max and 512 tracks/folders limit.

Can you confirm if it is a MK1 unit or a newer MK2 unit with an older A4 faceplate on it.

So I'll try a sd card then not sure if a mk1or 2 was in the car when I got it bloke before said he got it out a newer a4

Ah, ok well they never made a MK2 unit for the A4, so if it is a genuine A4 unit then it will be a MK1 and only supports SD cards upto 4GB.

Will the SD card reader except anything other than MP3 file formats??

Will it read video?
