RNS-e no satellites

Hi all

Just retro fitted an rns unit into my A3, iI have coded everything in and have no faults on vcds. My problem is i have test fitted it all with a new gps antenna sitting on the dash to see if it waorked as it should before i find a nice place to hide the antenna but even after giving it some time it's not showing any satellits. Am i right to think the gps antenna is shot ? it was a fairly cheap one from ebay. hopefully sourcing a different antenna will cure this ?

What does VCDS say for the GPS antenna? open circuit, short circuit, nothing?

I bought a £5 ebay GPS antenna to fix an A6 4G GPS fault and it worked perfectly well.

VCDS said i had a couple of faults but after changing the coding and re scanning they were gone. My problem now is that the rns-e unit has drained my battery. totallly flat in a day...... so feeling a bit p'd off atm.

Sounds more like the RNS-E not the cheap antenna.
