RNS-E Destination By Post Code.....?

Is it possible to enter your required destination by UK style post code? (Eg. AB1 2CD)

The retro-fit unit in my 2006 A4 will only allow me to get to AB1 2 but won't let me select the final 2 digits. Is this some throw back to US Zip codes I wonder....?
