So i bought an 06 A3 and have been doing the maintenance checks on it, after changing the pads, i went to bleed them (with power bleeder) all IAW bentley and the right rear has zero fluid coming out.
Checked the bleeder nipple, caliper and whole line leading to the ABS and it is clear.
Tried bleeding with ABS, nothing.
All other brakes and clutch bleed fine.
At this point im scratching my head as to why the other 3 brakes bleed immediatelt and the RR still wont.
What am I missing?
TIA

You might need vcds to help with the bleeding the abs pump. Have you cracked of the right rear at the abs pump to see if it's at least there?

Yeah i bled with VCDS ABS procedure. I checked the line for the right rear from the ABS to the caliper and the line has no obstruction. Are you saying to redo the procedure but crack the fitting at the ABS to see if anything comes out from that fitting?

Yeah i dont know either. I’ve been doin this for years and never once had i had a clear air line and the brake not bleed.
And i have no codes showing any issue either. Ran output tests and there were no errors. Might need to just get a new ABS and go that route as much as i’d hate to.

Unscrew the bleed nipple and poke a a thin piece of stiff wire into the caliper, it may be blocked up.

Checked. I even unscrewed where it attaches to the hose and tried to power bleed and/vacuum.
The entire line is clear up to where it screws into the ABS pump. I dont think any fluid is being allowed to get to the RR for whatever reason

Does seem like the ABS valve is blocked then. New ones are expensive

Rubber brake hoses do collapse/restrict flow internally with age.

Well aware that this can happen, however I have already verified that this is not what is happening
Try Danny Hill on FB where u should get a decent Abs pump at a sensible price. He is well recommended and is in Wigan only if u have to go down that route .

Update:
Donor block (from an 07) worked.
Swapped my module with it , bled ABS, and all brakes now bleed as they should.

thanks again for the input.
