I’ve just got hold of some reyland 2 part floating discs which pads do you guys recommend because reyland don’t recommend them with there disc.

I’m using the ferodo ds2500 pads that reyland supplied with their AP caliper + disc set - front and back

They feel very much like an oe pad on street and have had no issues or braking degradation on fast country runs - haven’t tracked them though and no plans too

They did exhibit squeal noises at that 5-0 km/h soft braking when cold, but now after around 5k km that seems to have gone

Brake dust is just as bad as oe pads, and I painted the back side of rear pads for a cleaner look

Oh also an fyi, my reyland discs weren’t zinc coated or painted and I got the rust rings around the hub and vanes after first wash

I had to tape them up and paint them myself while on the car - was a whole day job

So my advice paint them before installing

Hi Mate,

Thanks for posting this!

What did you use to paint them? I've just ordered a pair & don't want mine to look rusty like how yours did at first.

Thanks.
