Price and specs on intercooler

@Revo Steve-W Is the SPS stage 1 tune available ? Think I read somewhere that on later 15 plate cars Audi had changed the ECU encryption.

Hi Rob,

The SPS is purely a switch (Serial Port Switch), it's optional and can be added at any time to allow you to switch settings within the Revo software file. It doesn't hold software itself.

As for Software, you are correct some May-ish onwards cars have different tuning protection, this so far has been limited to S1 and S3 models which use the latest Simos ECU. There isn't a definitive way of checking some of the I.D's without the dealer plugging into your S1/S3.

Please contact your local Revo dealer for more details - http://www.revotechnik.com/dealer-locator

^^ Thanks Steve - mines March so build week 5/6. I'll give them a call.

Fingers crossed for you!

Let me know how you get on.

I've just rang - as my car is BW 5/6 and arrived at the dealers mid Feb for March delivery he feels I might be ok but won't know 100% until applying the software so I need to make my mind up but hopefully I have the 'older' encryption.

What's ED38 ?

I can't stand Revo's requirement to put there logo on everything.

Either they think people are stupid enough to belive they manufacture these diverse collection of components themselves, or they feel their brand holds so much value that putting their logo on stuff somehow makes a product more desirable.

There's nothing wrong with being a parts distributor that offers software too!

The products with Revo branding are our products, yes we work with the likes of Alcon on the brake kits purely for the caliper - it makes sense, they're the best on the market at this level.
Other than the caliper itself the Revo BB kit hardware including all fittings & brackets are designed in house, not an Alcon product, not available from Alcon, only from Revo, not only that but also at a more reasonable price and larger size brake kit than Alcon's own kits.

Another example the FMIC, this was designed in house & is purely a Revo product, designed, tested & put to market by Revo after months of hardwork.

Again the likes of our Carbon intake, designed in house, we have the 3D printed proto types in the development department which weren't only just designed in house like other Revo products, but also printed in house on the Revo 3D printer.

After all the hard work we put in, I think we deserve to put our name on our products, as we're genuinely proud of them.

Revo hardware is very competitively priced & isn't just there to look pretty, it's also proven, again in house on our hub dyno as part of our development process before going off for independent testing.

With regard to software, we put literally months of development in on track & road in the real world, spending a huge amount of money on the process ensuring ultimate gains in not only in performance but also drive-ability. We write a complete software file too, rather than just up a few values in the performance area of the ECU. Once all the hard work is done, we then get the cars on the Hub dyno to verify the figures, before again been sent externally for independent testing & confirmation.

Should you require any further details and facts on the Revo products, please feel free to contact Revo HQ for a chat, send an email or speak to your local Revo dealer.

My car only arrived in the country August so no doubt I have the newer encrypted ECU, just my luck :(

Thanks Spin, yes yours will sadly be the latest security if that new & its an S1 or S3. Don't worry we're working on it, others are offering the unlock service, but we don't want to offer this as completely voids warranty & isn't ideal for the customer with extra costs as well as having the cars off the road whilst the ECU is sent to be unlocked. Hopefully we'll pioneer the port tuning for new security as we did for the earlier cars. Meanwhile we have some tasty new Revo 'branded' hardware that will help the car breathe better & make it more responsive.

Definetly not a fan of open surgery despite using it many times in years gone by. Serial port all the way for me. Do you need a guinea pig ?

Things have moved on now, it's not the way forward. There's nothing better than a port flashed well developed software file.
Thanks for the offer, but we have a locked MQB car on site, along with the other fleet! I don't think some people realise how many cars we invest in, we currently have the Stage 2 S1, Stage 1+ S5, Stage 2 S7, Stage 3 7R, Stage 4 A3 500Bhp TFSi race car, Stage 3 Octavia (2015), T5, Stage 1 SQ5, Ammarok, as well as several Fords & also staff cars onsite to play with. Also new Mustang, RS3 & several others on order/route to HQ. Busy, but fantastic & exciting times.

S7 drool !! Any reviews of the 8V S3 stage 1 at all ?

Think I've almost made my mind up but just need reassurance that there's drive train jerkiness or harshness. Had a bluefin on my 8P 1.8 TFSI and enjoyed that.

A fully developed Revo file is another level Rob, not knocked by anything else but nothing competes with a complete file, rather than something that just alters a few values. We're so confident in the Revo software that we even offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, if you're not 100% happy, your Revo dealer will flash your car completely back to stock & refund you. Can't get any better than that!

Give your local dealer a shout or pop along to ED38 show next weekend in Northamptonshire & have a chat with the Revo team.

Good to see you being active on the forums again Steve. You should dip into some of the Revo discussion threads from time to time as well as when you are trying to sell new products :redface new:

Mountune and others are the same , what a pointless post

No requirement for a Stage 2+, already running Stage 3 on our other 2.0TSi in the Revo 7R, along with DSG software. More news coming soon...

look forward to the stage 3 details

Steve, any discount for forum members???

Just took delivery of my 12month old S3 and a big fan of REVO (last 3 cars flashed with your maps).......my last A5 was transformed at ADS with your stage 1!

Don't ask, don't get ;-)
