Reversing - starts to feel like it will stall

As above car feels like its going to stall IE starts juddering. Nowt happens, it doesn't actually stall.
Feels like its a manual and you don't quite get the throttle hard enough.

Mines a 2011 automatic S4

Any ideas?

Mine does this if I don't give it a bit of throttle, generally only when going up hill and it's usually fine once I've got it moving. If a bit of throttle doesn't help it then it might be a symptom of a dodgy box
