Had an issue with whistling under load a few weeks ago, sure enough, DV pulled and it's torn to shreds
( Rev G)

Ordered a new DV, Cenpek 06H145710D - rev D.

Whilst I was in there, I took the option of fitting a DV spacer, £20 ebay job. seems to fit pretty well, all the O-rings fit and face up well.

Main problem now is a constant boost leak. As soon as it comes onto boost it's hissing like mad. Is there a compatibility thing with these cheap DV spacers. I cant find a clear answer as to which rev DV i should be using.

Thanks

why do you need a dv spacer. remove it.

if by cenpek you mean cenpek dv
then youve bought a chinese fake.
only buy genuine vw/audi or pierberg (who make the genuine part). the chinese parts are no good.

either dv will be fine. rev d is piston, rev g is diaphragm. d is more reliable over time but leaks ever so slightly, g holds boost better, but as you found out can tear.

So buy a G then.

The cenpek was the only one I could get overnight, and I needed the car!.

I'll order a genuine one and go from there. Euro car parts don't seem to list them, TpS maybe?

Most people recommend a genuine Rev G. As mentioned, they don’t leak until they tear. However, to put it into perspective, I put a new Rev G into our standard tune TT K03 turbo at about 25k miles. I changed it for peace of mind at 85k miles. No apparent damage to it so it could have gone further
