I have gained access to VAG.com and I need to know how to reset the memory on my autobox.

It doesnt seem to want to change out of 3rd gear for some reason!

Does anyone know where I can obtain this info from?

If it's stuck in 3rd gear all the time, you've got problems that aren't going to go away by "resetting the memory". Do this to start with:

Select -> 02-Auto Trans -> Fault Codes -> Copy Codes.

Assuming your transmission controller talks at all, this will stuff all pertinent data into the Windows Clipboard. From there, you can paste it here, or into an intermediate Notepad file if the PC you're using to scan with doesn't have internet access. Then post the results here.

Thanks for the reply!

it doesnt get stuck all the time. It seems to have troubles differentiating when to change. If you drive like and old man it revs past 3000 before changing up - if you put your foot down, it slmost redlines before changing, even if you ease off the accelerator.

I'll borrow my friends vag again and grab those outputs you were refferring to!

Cheers
