so i changed the discs and pads on the rear at the weekend. got the passenger side sorted in about 25 minutes...drivers side took about 2 hours mostly trying to wind in a seized piston. managed to get it back in and back together but it needs replacing pretty sharpish.

does anyone know how the handbrake mech comes away from the caliper? need to make sure i have all the tools as ive just moved and struggling to find stuff. just been buying what i need as i go!

A replacement caliper usually comes with the handbrake mech so it should be just a case of releasing the cable from the arm which just requires something to lever with. If the arm isn't on the rear of the caliper then this is just held on with a nut, 13mm or possibly 15mm.
