Replacing glovebox

Hi My glovebox is broken so I would to do a simple swap

However my glovebox has an IPOD connection and the glovebox I am swapping with is plain and simple.

Can i swap my glovebox with a normal one and how to I put my ipod connection into it?

Can you not just pop a hole in the replacement to feed ipod cable through.

its not just a cable its a full standard audi dock which sits on the right hand side of the glovebox

Depending on whats broke on your existing glovebox, are you able to swap the bits over from a normal one?

i want to swap the door which is broken

I would remove the whole glovebox, it's only 7 screws and disconnecting the iPod loom and lamp loom. Take it indoors and figure out how to remove the lid. Your not going to see very well in the dark and besides it's cold out there.

there must be a way to remove the dock section and just fit it into the new one

Stop faffing around and take the whole lot out. I can see two screws in your photo one either side of the ipod plug, they, I assume would release the dock but you still need to unplug the loom at the back.
