Replacing abs pump

Is it linked to the Ecu as I bought a spare pump a while back and it said Ecu aswell? Question is can I straight swap them as I'm getting code 01276, I paid pennies for the pump and can't find one for my engine code? Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure there are several different abs pumps, all look the same but varying codes and you have to use a pump with the same code as the one on your car/ecu, big head ache trying to find one second hand.

Also is the Ecu attached, if I got a remap and the replaced the unit would I be wasting money?

Part number is 1j0 614 217 f if anyone has one they wish to part with

BBA reman can fix them, you will need one with the same part number and you will need to have the soft coding change to its the same as your old one

The ABS control module is part of the pump dude

Looking about on eBay there's a few forsale around 100 so it's not too bad
