Hi all have been away from the site for a while car has been garaged for a fair time,

Anyways got it out today to service before using fluids, oil etc and the bonnet release lever in the drivers footwell snapped, ive managed to get the bonnet open by removing front bumper!!!

My question is how hard is it to replace the lever inside the footwell and also would i have to just do that or would i have to replace the whole cable and the latch under the bonnet?

Regards

Jamie

Just remove the lower trim panel the it unscrews out. You need a torx bit to remove the lever.

I had to replace mine when i got my car, its a bit fiddly but not a difficult job

Just reviving this, with an extra question: can it be changed while the bonnet is stuck shut? Or does the bonnet need to be opened by some other means?

Cheers

You should be able to change it fine as the is no tension on the cable until it is pulled
