Repairing cracked headlight lens

Guys

Any tips on how to fix a small crack on a headlight lens? It is just a crack with no chips missing so no "filling" material required but I am getting misting inside the unit and there was some water in there when I did the DRL bulb mod

I was looking at headlight protection films as they are watertight (and more importantly transparent.....)

With regards to the film, I will be wanting to open the headlights up to do the HID projector upgrade. Will the film survive the baking process?

Good idea, I have a crack, tried windscreen repair stuff but didn't really work..
