Has anyone done this? I have removed all the lower fascia but don't know how to remove the trim directly below the cluster, I need to get the cluster out to fit some sound insulation between it and the dashboard to stop an annoying creak that the dicks at Audi can't seem to hear....

Just above your steering column you should be able to pull off the slim black plastic trim which sits below your instrument cluster / above steering column (Adjust your steering column so its pulled out / down)

behind this trim you should see two torx screws, you will need to magnitize your torx bit or else you'll never get them back in, once these screws are removed you should be able to carefully ease out the cluster, unplugging the wires is another story!
