Help needed please
My wife reversed into an object which smashed the rear windscreen so needs completely replacing.
In the meantime Autoglass guy comes to fit a temporary weather proof perspex to tied us over until the replacement is done.
He mentioned that the electrics to the boot lid need to be disabled so the broken glass which fell into the boot lid void can be shaken out. Otherwise they just stay in there rattling around.
Has anyone had this experience or know how the electrics can be switched off?
One thought may be to unscrew the internal lining attached to boot lid and see if that allows access to internal removal of glass? But not sure if that's something a car maintenance amateur can do
any input greatly appreciated
