Remote windows stopped working

Hi all

Other week, when it was lovely and sunny, decided to drop windows with the remote by holding the unlock button. They dropped about 2-3" then stopped and wouldnt go up or down. Windows work fine usung the controls on the doors.

Ive tried resetting the activation on the computer on the car by turning off and back on, and also re-coding them in VCDS incase something was stuck in the control module.

However they still dont work. Does anyone have any idea how to fix them? My next option is remove the battery lead for a few minutes to drain any power from the car.

Any other options?

Have you tried holding each pair of switches on for a few seconds, as per the user manual?

Yeah, tried doing the auto window up reset where you hold window in the down position for 3-5seconds and the same for when window is up.

Seemed disconnecting the battery for 30seconds and re-enabling through the cars computer got them working again.
