remote locking

hi guys and girls, on my a3 i have 3 keys but no buttons to lock/unlock, can i buy a key with the buttons and program it to the car its a 97 model also what key type do i need

Yes VAGParts sell a kit for around £100 that you can easily wire into the central locking pump in the boot which gives you the facility to have remote locking. Its supplied with two remote key fobs.
If your after the flip type of key thing then its a lot more work if it can be done.
