Reluctant service interval question ...

Hi all,

I've googled. I've gone through my owners manual. Honestly, I have tried to find the answer to this question:

Does anyone have a FULL list of the service intervals for the RS3 (2018 specifically). I'm mainly after any timing belt service intervals, but i'm really looking for an authoritative list, from Audi, with all the details of everything from general service intervals (oil, pollen, filters) through to Haldex, Gearbox, timing belts. The works.

RS3 doesn’t have a timing belt. Chain driven system supposedly last a lifetime, although many 8P owners will beg to differ at that.
Not cheap to replace either at 3-4K

Ah that explains why I couldn't find a mileage for timing service!
Last a lifetime? We will see about that.

A friend of mine had to have his chain done shortly after purchasing from Volkswizard
£4800 as in his case one of the cam adjusters had gone out of tolerance which added to the issue. So he had them both replaced while they had it stripped ( chain is on gearbox side).

I am a bit annoyed here because I have booked my car in for an MOT which is fine; but I was having a look at the servicing schedule and I saw that at 3 years the Haldex system is meant to have an oil change. Now my problem is this: - My car was last serviced at around 48,000 miles going off...

If i'd have meant that i'd have said that. Take your snark elsewhere or at least use the appropriate "you're"

I know with the S3 the Haldex is every 3 years but this can be dependant on mileage. Services are minor the major and plugs etc. or bit one at 4 years. I would look for an Audi specialist garage near you. I'm in South Wales and a garage near Chepstow has been recommended.
I have in the past saved money by doing cabin air filter and other bits myself. Don't let Audi replace your wipers as it will cost you a fortune.
My used Audi came with new pads and rear discs at 29k miles (on an Auto gearbox) so factor that in as well.
You can buy Audi parts and have ATS or local brake centre do this for you. Like most "service recommendations" I always ask local garages if they can quote then ask Audi if they want to price match or beat the quote. You can let Audi do the oil and minor bits.

If you go to your local Audi dealership they can print off the service schedule, your cars service history and any health check forms. Audi service info. is all on Audi's system which is a pain.
