That is A relentless manifold yes mate, but from the look I'd say its an old v1 manifold, v1 were shiney chromed finish and no gussets, v2 were a dull ish finish with lots more visable heat effects on the welds (discolouration)

the current v3 is more expensive, has thicker tube walls, and gussets at the collector.

My v1 lasted 6 weeks, been RH big a reinforced v2 since April.

Ideal thank you Prawn, do you have a link to a mani like yours or the V3 one you mentioned? so basicly that would be a waste of money and would last weeks rather than years?

potentially yes mate, mine didn't last very long at all, and wasn't being pushed any harder than a stage 1 ko4 really....

The relentless manifold is WELL worth fitting, as it really changes the whole setup, but if it's at the risk of it failling in a matter of months, do you really want that risk?

If you can afford a V2 or V2 then great. I'll ask Sam if the V2's are still about

Just spoken to Sam mate, (he's on here but doesn't post much)

He reckons that will be a V2 manifold on clearance but just listed with an old pic, so could well be worth a punt!

I'll point him in this direction anyway :)

Ideal thank you mate, tbh i wasnt gonna change the mani or downpipe, but you know how it happens, im was thinking get it running and get niki to map it, job done lol, but now im thinking im just aswell fit a relentless mani and DP and de cat, wmi then get it mapped so it will all be sorted at once rather than messing about and cutting corners

Any help/info is always great :)

Would you recomend having the welds reinforced on the V2? As that's a very good price.

No need to reinforce the welds on the V3.

I'm a bit disconcerted by the way Relentless fails to distinguish their reputable product from those who are selling cheaply-made, shoddy knockoffs. After speaking with them here (USA) and there (UK) it's clear they are committed to delivering a sound product. But still this question of V1 or V2 -- and now V3 --- really confuses things. Here is the kernel of it though: unless you buy from Sam directly, you are getting something other than a proper "RELENTLESS" manifold.

So don't look on Ebay for this part. It's not there. They sell only through their own channels, not auction sites.

Well i emailed them and they seem to be Relentless, there user name (i know you cant go by that) says they are and they even quote Sam as a supplier, so it seems to be above board to me

The relentless manifolds are worth fitting, yes the earlier ones did have a few issues but they have kept on trying to create a good product and it's good to see a company keep moving forwards, as now days more modern engine parts are being used and bigger powe gains are to be had so they are good manifolds in my opinion and well needed for bigger power

V3 does look a LOT better to fit, but with all due respect to everyone else, I understand Phil is a mechanic by trade, so I'm sure fitting the V2 won't be too taxing for him, and if he can get one for £125 delivered it's a no brainer!

Just be sure to cut down studs 2 and 7 phil

Today I received a sample V3 sent to me by the Relentless rep here Stateside. They sent it for free as an inspection/testing unit. I'll be posting results immediately after gathering baseline data on a stock unit.

where do you order a V3 Mani?

is it recommended to get the downpipe and Decat too, for best gains?

    Thanks,

    James
