:welcoming:Right, I decided that I may as well start a thread about my car with regards to what I am doing to it.

It is a 2009 A4 B8 Avant S-line, I purchased it around a month ago and jumped into the deep end in my eyes ! Managed to get quite a lot done it what I consider a small amount of time compared to how long I have taken with my other cars.

Completely standard when I got it.

So far I have done the following;

Stage 1 remapped but haven't had a dyno done yet so not exactly sure what it is putting out

Exterior
Replaced the headlines gut bulbs for 6000k ones,
LED Fog light bulbs(where supposed to be white but they are ice blue ! )
LED Reverse lights,
Bought and fitted some genuine 19" A4 Black Edition Alloys
Wind deflectors,
Tinted windows (being done as I type this :welcoming:)
Debadged the rear but left the rings on

Interior
Replaced the standard interior lights for LED's,
Enabled green menu on the MMI(2G)
Coded some bits in like the lock/unlock chirp, supposedly adaptive flashing break lights (but I haven't seen them do it), Needle sweep, reverse mirror tilt(doesn't work that well) and individual fog light to come on when steering.
Bought a kit and installed and coded footwell lights for the front and rear
Installed and coded in the warning and puddle lights.

What is going to be done in the future
I have bought some Eibach Sportline lowering springs which I'm hopefully fitting this weekend(looking st how it is at the moment I'm not sure whether to leave it as it seems to be sitting quite low at the moment ?)
Maybe DPF delete
RS4 Style grill

Some photos to follow

@James.B8 could you chuck a side on photo of your car and just the front wing so I can see the difference to what mine is ? This is how mine is sitting on the standard suspension at the moment, and I don't want to go too overboard, does yours rub the arches at all ?

Yeah sure no problem....

Haven't got one of just the front wing on my phone but I'll take one later if you like? But here's one of mine next to standard s-line suspension on an A5...

Had no rubbing or scraping apart from when I went round a sharp corner with the car fully loaded and the wheel rubber the wheel arch slightly

To be honest I think the sportlines are the perfect drop. Not too low and not too high. Perfect for everyday use and gives the car and much sportier look.

I'm sat on the fence with it, I'll probably love it when they are on ! Only way I can find out is once they are on.

Had the tints done, was told I need to wait for a couple of days til I can open the rear windows, but looks good from a side angle shot at the moment. First proper wash since I've had the wheels fitted and put sealant on the wheels so hopefully that will protect them from road contaminants a bit more.

Yeah once they're on you'll love it I'm sure :yum:

@crf150 Where did you get the footwell & door light kits from ?
I got them off of eBay, they also came with the wiring for the puddle lights but not the actual light/light housing, so I bought 4 LED's and light housings off of Trups EM Tuning from on here

Love the car mate its looks sick.

Sorry to interupt your thread but where did you get the led reverse bulbs? And do they need coding?

It's not interrupting, I don't mind helping others out where I can with bits that I have done :) I bought the reverse lights off of eBay £20!! They are Cree ones but still needed to be coded in as they were throwing an error up, simple to code out. I will find what I guide I used if you need it ? I think xenon bulbs uk do a set that don't need coding in and are brighter than mine and they are also £20 ?

What did you use to protect the wheels? Looking nice mate

Nice motor mate.

For the headlight bulbs.... Did you have to drill a hole etc or was it a simple swap? Seen some guides that come with grommets etc?

Cheers

Cheers :) and I used Autoglym wheel protector, it looks glossy when you apply it but after an hour or so it dries misty/faint white colour and you just have to off with a microfibre cloth. Main reason why I have done it is to stop tar from sticking to the wheels but it also makes it easier to clean

Didn't have to drill any holes as my headlights have the projector headlights as standard so I don't need a HID kit just the replacement bulbs. I take it you have normal halogen headlight, in that case you would need a HID kit, it's up to you whether you drill a hole in the headlight covers. I would advise it as they aren't too much to replace and by drilling them and putting a grommet in it keeps the damp and condensation out of the inside of the headlight

Cheers mate. How do I know what headlights I have? All I know is mine give a yellowmlight. Haven't even looked under the bonnet!

Didn't know what headlights you had, just took a guess when you were saying about drilling holes, also I'be seen your mods thread and noticed that you have an SE so it will have halogen headlights meaning you will need a HID kit if you want to completely get rid of the yellow lights. There are bosch or osram (can't remember which ones) that do 6000k night breaker bulbs(I think that's what they're called), these are good if you don't want to have the hastle of fitting a kit. They wI'll be better than your standard bulbs but not as bright/white as a kit

Also fitted an S-line badge to the front of the car as I don't understand why they don't come with them from standard ? I'm not 100% sure if it's in the right place, just plonked it there last night before I went inside.

Managed to get my springs fitted yesterday, not sure if it will drop anymore but hopefully won't drop too much more, liking the way it is sitting at the moment! Took some shots of it in the workshop and pulling out ! Scraped underneath as I was driving out  the side shots of the rear tyre and bumper is lower than what it is because it was on a hump

Side on photo of how it is sitting at the moment, front seems a little higher than the rear but I always carry loads of stuff in the back so that's probably why. Thinking of possible deleting the dpf not this weeked, next weekend but not 100% sure yet, will be doing it with a friend so need to see whether he is up for it ! Possibly thinking of a stage 2 but need to look into it more with what would need upgrading/replacing and if it will jeopardise the mpg.

Hi mate, cars looking good. Done a few of those mods on my B8, but want to ask about the springs.
Are they a certain size, or are they just called Eibach Lowering springs? And do the shocks needs replacing too? Thanks

They're the Eibach Sportline lowering springs which are lower than the other ones. We have the same ones.

I personally didnt replace the shocks

They do 35mm lowered, but I already have that being a special edition.

Right, a little(quite big!) update, bit the bullet and went for the dpf delete and stage 2 remap, had a bit of a unhappy moment yesterday when they were telling me that my gearbox had to be removed to remove the dpf but they sent it to an Audi specialist and they got it out no trouble.
http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a4-avant-remap.291285/

Can I notice the difference ? Yes, a lot compared to the stage 1, with the dpf being removed the turbo spools up a lot sooner and it accelerates a lot quicker at the lower revs. I can definitely say that I won't be taking it too hard at the moment because I took it for a blast off the mark earlier and clutch was slipping in 3rd so no racing for me until I swap the clutch out.

I haven't done a long enough journey yet to see whether the mpg has improved, but from the 30-40 miles journey I done this morning it was up to 52mpg when usually it is around 48, will be Abel to tell when I fill up again and see what it does on quarter of a tank.

Hopefully giving it a clean and a fresh bit of was later on !

Any figures on what it's producing now? Where did you get it done?

Had it done in Cardiff as I live over in Wales so wasn't too bad, was £300 for a dpf delete and stage 2 as states in the link I put up, should have put it on here ! Wanted to get a dyno done either today or Saturday but they haven't got any space for 2 weeks, will try and find somewhere else to get it done.

Should be putting out around 205 at the lowest, but expecting 210

Not much of an update, just gave the car a quick detail yesterday to keep it looking nice, plastic restored the pillars and blacked the rubber to make them look like they haven't aged, makes a massive difference !
