Recommended products to clean up aluminium

Hi

I've started a little lock down project stripping down a old Suffolk Punch lawn mower. The block is covered in corrosion and spray paint.

Does anyone have any recommendations for products to get it to a state where I can paint it? I've been at it with a brass brush but it's a right pain, u can't get all the little bits between the fins.

I’ve always used Autosol polish. Brings it out like new

Autosol is good stuff but would be a nightmare with this. Pictures would help

Pictures are a bit dark but you can see it's sort of half been sprayed and the rest is pretty rotten. I just want to get it to a state where I can give it a coat of paint.

Mr Muscle foam oven cleaner spray (orange aerosol can).

Great for bringing up weathered and beat up cast alu.

I have some of that in from when I done a turbo clean on my Passat. Do you think it would get ready rid of the paint too?
