Recommended Products for Newbie?

Can anyone recommend the basic set of good products for me to use on my own car I have always cleaned my cars weekly but only with soap and water and after seeing some of the impressive detailing work on this forum going to have a go myself.

Pre-Wax Cleaners and Paintwork cleaners

Wax,
Best Car Wax by Meguiars, FinishKare, Poorboys, Collinite, Chemical Guys, Dodo Juice and Victoria Wax

These are all good product's will help improve your car's paint work along with helping you get better result's.

Take a look at the sticky's at the top and find which thread best matches your colour, it should then give you some products to use which will get the most from your paint

hi wagsbyUK, ill list what i use to give you an idea.. and start this off:

pre wash: snow foam (mostly in the winter or if car is really dirty)

Wash: Meguires NXT (purple one) with two bucket method and a mequires mit, (would avoid sponge if possible)

wheels: billbery wheel cleaner

windows: megs no smear window cleaner

Dry with drying towel

lately ive been using the megs quick detailer before i wax

wax: currently using collinite 476.. its a harder wax which is good for the winter.
