recomended Midlands garages/body specialists/tuners

Hi all,
I joined the forum a week or so ago and finally found my way to the midlands section although Nilz told me to head here straight away, not sure if its best to post here or not as it is midlands specific but not about a meet

anyway I was wondering if you can recommend any places in the midlands (preferably west midlands) for following work:

Body Repair and Paint - Don't require full panels spraying but a couple of touch ups and a dent popping back on a wheel arch.

Engine/Service work - I can get basics done like oil change and air filters through family member but would prefer to use someone who knows the engine for a full service and general inspection.

Tuning - Still not a definite but if there is someone recommended local it may help swing my decision.

My car is a 52 plate S3 8L BAM in Avus Silver thats covered 117k. with the age I would rather put my mind at rest by having someone who knows these cars well inspect it for common faults problems or general wear of anything mechanical that might need doing.

Cambelt and Water Pump were changed last year by previous owner and it has FSH

Hey Phil, as above Midland VW or another place I have started using recently and are gaining a really good rep are vastec in Warwick, the guy there Paul is an ex Audi Master Tech and is a very genuine and honest guy who knows whay he is doing.

thanks guys, cannock sounds perfect for me 20 minute drive so if it ever had to stay in it would be easy to get back home. There is a Telford VW centre but not sure of its reputation as I've only owned fords previously

City Centre car care in Digbeth Birmingham. Approved by lots of firms including Audi, Mercedes, Bentley , Jaguar. Courtesy cars are a bit poo though, Peugeot 207's. Done a fantastic job on mine on both occasions it had to be fixed. They are actually the reason I insure with Aviva as they are one of their recommended companies.

Try Greg Howell based in Southam. One of the best out there. I've seen his work and can't fault it. Not cheap but you get what you pay for in life.

how long have u had the s3 now? sure ive seen it round telford a few times.

had it 4 weeks mate, if the number plate is AY52 its me, daily run is hadley to stafford park down the red road from trench lock to oakengates and back in the evening is straight down the e.p. I Saw another S3 on the M54 saturday morning on my way to Midland VW but I have seen another S3 same colour as mine around telford.

I have been using Vastec, Paul is a top guy and can't fault him for work/price

PSI Tuning - used them loads and highly recommend them.

Stafford Audi are absolutely ACE for service, and Shorade (Cannock) are so good at resolving body 'oops' it hurts...

Old post but just to add if your in the midlands I recommend Midland VW as well. They know their stuff
