Has anyone else had their A7 in for a recall? Mines been in for a couple of days now for a 6 hour software update, something to do with a drive linkage and some other thing.

Apparently they've had some one else's in for over a week.

Not sure when I'll get the car back yet.

My 2018 2nd gen A7 is due it’s first oil/inspection service and one of dealers suggested there were about 3 recalls of which one of them was for the Drive Assist.

Every time it has been in for a small niggle usually software related, usually involved at least 2-3 days. I just gave up taking it in for small things in the end but will now give them the list and expect them to keep the car for a week!

My 2016 A7 272 tdi was in for a recall software update in June, only took around 2.5 hours though...

Mines going in tonight for a service plus the recall for the AUXILIARY HEATER ELEMENT and I think the FUEL MAY ESCAPE FROM FUEL RAILS recall.

I'll ask about this one when I get there

was in the audi bodyshop a couple months ago for a new rear bumper (someone rear ended me!) and as well as the bodywork, they did a software update on the central locking system. (I've a 68 plate)

Ah right, my central locking seems to go through periods where becomes faulty every so often or becomes confused when my hand is near the handle. So update might fix it. Thanks.

Mines been in for its first service and had a software update relating to drive assist but was only in for the day.

Generating some errors relating to RH main beam defect and Adaptive light fault since. Lights seem fine but error persists so going back in soon.

Yep, my keyless entry has been much more reliable since the software update. Would ocassionally get central locking faults reported in the virtual cockpit, but not had one since.

The second recall was for some fault in the Wiring Loom.

Hi all,

Sorry for the update - we had some complications with the car but will update this on another thread.
As for recalls - to be honest, I got no more information than you guys already have. I had only the following done:

82C1 - Aux heater element may fail due to an electrical connector which has not been plugged in correctly. The connector must be checked.

91U67 - Vehicles with MIB1 and MIB2 high - the functionality of the infotainment system may be restricted in some cases. A software update must be carried out.

Not sure if any of this helps - since my main guy left Audi, I just don't get more than the basics anymore

Thanks @Akash, mine is going in on Wednesday and see what they say. I suspect there has been a change as I got an odd ‘out of office’ which implied they don’t work there anymore. So might not get as much info.

Ouch, looks like I will be driving my son’s car for a bit longer than I expected!

car is in for its 14500 mile oil change, also doing a number of software updates including the drive assist. They've had it 2 full days now and still not finished. Having problems with the recall/ sw updates apparently..
