Noticed yesterday on the 'myAudi' App on my phone that there is a recall for our 2018 SQ5 - '91Y7 - S-Activating LTE Compensor'
Have called our local Audi dealer and they advise this is to reconnect the aerial amplifier for the phonebox option which had previously been disconnected.
In the UK there is an emergency frequency band that the aerial amplifier could interfere with making it illegal to use. From web searches it seems a number of car deliveries were delayed to while Audi disabled this feature. Later Audi car specifications dropped the aerial amplifier to get around this problem.
Not sure if the frequency has now become available to use for mobile phone usage and this is why they can now reconnect the aerial amplifier?
