Can anyone shed any light on why the heater strips are different on either side?

I thought the shark fin on the roof had the dab reciever and sat nav reciever?

That tends to be the FM/AM reciever. Not sure about SATNAV, particularly if yours is SD based.

I think Scotty is right it seems the sharkfin is for am/fm and gps signals..
