Hi

Have I imagined this - the above happens and I was sure it stayed still so the jet went both sides of the blade?

Dave

I've had the car almost 11 years and have never noticed this before............

How do you set it then it doesnt spray onto boot when the arm fully over? Or just dont spray when arm that far over?

Dave

If its anything like the newer models, it's not supposed to rotate... Meaning yours is probably seized & needs freeing up.

yep seized and snapped, mines done it recently, for the third time, new wiper moter next time!

Yeah mine has just started to do this too! But £47 for a repair kit seems a tad on the pricey side.....

Think I'll be going for the keep car clean approach ;-)

The washer jet passes through a brass tube if I remeber rightly. This, over time, manages to attach itself to the moving wiper mechanism and so the water jet moves with the wiper. It's not supposed to do that. Need the repair kit mentioned above. Simple fix.

I always take the wiper motors a part and grease the jet, so it can't rust on to the wiper motor.

Is it just the black jet part at the end that needs to free'd up and greased?
Dave

no the shaft needs to be greased.
you need to take the whole motor a part.
