Rear view mirror help...

Hi,
I brought an audi a5 mirror for my 2010 audi a3 8p3. It had previously had an accident and the mirror got destroyed somehow. Audi quoted me £225 for a new auto dimming mirror. I rang audi and they said a4 and a5 mirrors will fit my a3. Brought an a5 auto dimming mirror. But the plugs are different for the auto dimming. The a5 mirror has 8 pins and the plug in the car has 6. I was wondering if there is any way to connect these two connecters together and remove the ones i dont need from the mirror end. Any ine have the pinouts for both connectors?

One thing is the cables, but does it even fit?

Yes the mirror has been test fitted already and fits perfectly as the mount over the rain/light sensor is the same between A4,A3 and A5.
