rear shelf speaker replacement

does any on know if its possible to replace the rear shelf speaker from non bose and put a bose speaker in?

is it a plug and play job? or should i just stick with the non bose speaker? as mine is on its way out and its driving me mad.

car is a a4 b7 dtm.

Bose speakers are usually a different impedance 2ohm or 1 ohm.
Most standard car speakers are 4ohm.
You need to know if the head unit is powering them then is the head unit 2ohm, or lower stable, which is unlikely.
If they are powered from an amp - is the amp 2ohm stable? The standard Audi one probably isn't but you would need to check.
An aftermarket amp probably is, but may not be if bridged.
If the rest of the set-up is standard Audi I would just hunt for a replacement used speaker on ebay or similar.
