Rear number plate lights

Hi all, a went to change a blown bulb in the nuber plate light, now they both aren't working, which fuse is it I need to check?

Check the springy contacts on the back in case they need bending.

I thought mine had blown a bulb recently, but the spring terminal had rusted away, took the other side out and that one fell apart in my hand as well, Fitted new units from stealer job done

Mine is cracked and rusty, how much were replacement units? easy to fit??

I had this problem recently and tried cleaning all the contacts up and making sure the contacts were touching ok but couldn't get the lights to work.

In the end I traced it back to a faulty earth wire were the loom comes out of the boot opening and into the boot lid, i just tapped into the blue earth wires on the number plate light/boot release assembly and ran a new earth cable to one of the nuts on the boot catch, job done
