Rear / Front Parking Sensor

Hi all,

Just got a new A3 S-Line with the sport suspension.

I am just wondering will the front and rear parking sensors detect a kerb that will hit your car/ scrape the under of bumper or will it detect them?

Not sure on front but on my back sensors it does really beep if it's going to scrap. Then again when I reserve it screams at me I stop and I won't keep on going.

The rear sensors work very well and volume can be adjusted in the MMI. No idea about the front ones as I don't have them!!

if the rear ones detect kerbs then that's fine I will just reverse into spaces I just thought that kerb may not set them off and I end up either scraping bumper or squishing it...

So if kerb is low enough then the sensors wont beep? Or will they beep still?

It'll detect the kerb but once closer it won't sense it anymore as it'll be below the field of the sensors so there is a possibility of a scrape

Yes, it will. Mine certainly does at the front. I haven't tried the rear yet I don't think.
