Hi iv got a 1998 a3 1.8t and i put some spacers on the rear wheels today and notice the driver side wheel pops out the arch more than the nearside . so i called my mate and asked him if his a3 was the same when he put his 20 ml spacers on his a3 . he said he had the same problem and had to mod the spacers. dose anyone no what i can do to get my axle to sit right so i can fit my spacers with out modding them

have you checked the et of the wheels as they could be different offsets

I believe the a3 is the same as the mk4 golf. If it is the rear axle sits slightly further towards the o/s, it was the same on the mk4 golf I had. there's a thread somewhere on the golfgti forums explaining it better. I can't find it at the moment though :/

Hi Heathy

Very easy
think they all have been fitted over one side (robot error ????)
but they move about a fair bit when loostened and move over easy with a lever bar in the side with least gap.
took me a couple of goes to get mine spot on but very easy :)
