Rear armrest removal

Hi guys manage to find a rear armrest with cup holders as my car don't have cup holder in the back.

Anyone know how to remove the rear arm rest so I can just fit new one in.

Is it a easy job?

Removing and installing centre armrest (split backrest)

1 - Centre armrest
t Removing
– Fold down centre armrest -1-.
– Pull off hinge trim (outside) -2- in direction of -arrow-.
– Unscrew bolts -3-.
– Release pin -4- from hinge arm -5-.
– Detach centre armrest -1-.
t Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.
2 - Hinge trim (outside)
3 - Bolt
4 - Pin
5 - Hinge arm

Removing mounting bush
– Use flat screwdriver to press off mounting bush -1- in direction of -arrow-.
2 - Backrest cover

What's up with your old one?

If it's the catch, Audi do a repair kit that includes the catch for about £25-30
The base part number is 8F0898173,repair set; armrest (upper part)

You need to go via Audi for the dash number as it is related to your trim.
(It contains the lower plate too - just the cushion is not there)
Took about 10 mins to fit!

nothing wrong with old one just wanted to fit one with cup holders that's all
