Rear ARB sizes

Morning all, just a quick question here.

Is the S4 RARB the same thickness as the RS4 RARB?

RS4 is the largest rear ARB and a highly recommended upgrade

No, I upgraded my S4 to RS4 and it was a def improvement, less under-steer. approx. £90 for parts. Well worth the effort!

std size is 16mm
s4 is 20mm
rs4 is 22mm

changing the rear anti roll bar will make the car understeer less but a negative effect is you will lose grip on the exit of a corner
this gives the impression the car will change direction quicker
also changing the anti roll bar on a 2wd car has a different effect than it does on a 4wd car

2mm is quite a lot of difference, so I'll just hang on for an RS4 one to pop up.

£160 is the latest price I have for the parts someone got from TPS, but I can't use TPS so it will probably be a bit more from Audi.

An S4 one popped up locally for £50 which is why I asked the question.

Blimey they have gone up in price. I recall paying £56 for mine about 16 months ago.....about £70 overall with the bigger brackets and bushes

It is well worth it and I wish I have done it sooner. You don't have to change the ARB links but i did at same time.

I already have new drop links that I bought when replacing all my control arms, and suspension.

I was under the impression that the bushing brackets are all the same size, you just need to change the bushes?

I'd recommend changing everything otherwise its not a compete job, bush brackets included as they are needed for the larger bushes, also the drop links as they are bushed and would be worn from the original installation.

I can't believe how much the prices have all gone up from TPS/Audi. Just checked my receipt from last year and all in including everything it was £98.72.

I can only assume Audi/TPS trend the demand and price accordingly.

Still worth it, every B6 S4 should have this upgrade. Obviously pointless on a B7, so even Audi thought is was a must have upgrade.

Wow! That has shot up, I priced from TPS last month and it was in the region of £120incl. (just under iirc) for RS4 ARB, bushes and brackets.
