Rattle on a S3

Ok this rattle is driving me crazy, its coming from the pedals and only happens when the revs are around 1500 ish so around town you hear it all the time.

Now I've had a good look around the pedals also behind the dash and nothing is loose, when you get down there it seems to be coming from just the other side of the bulk head but stops when you apply the brake.

The brakes work 100% Ok, the sound to me is like a loose bolt metal on metal rattle.

But of course you cant see anything at all from the engine bay, has anyone had this before or any idea were it may be coming from ????

Any help would be appreciated before i go insane!!!

You want to be in the 8L S3 forum mate, but no clue about your problem!

That is probably the pads rattling in the calipers. Check if all anti-rattle springs etc are in place then copper grease the pads backing plates.
