So today, my MMI isn't happy. If the car is parked up then MMI fully powers up to the sat nav for 10 seconds or so then powers down (black screen). If cars moving then mostly the MMI shows the audi screen for a few seconds and then goes black.

During MMI power up, one of the lights on the console might come on and then also go off, the rest of the lights (menu, car etc) dont come on.

In the boot, the Radio above the MMI fuse which is a 5amp keep blowing as soon as I replace it, it pops - tried a 10amp and the same.

A diag shows there to be a CAN network issue with the radio missing but i guess thats expected with the blown fuse.

CAN network gateway
Part #: 8R0907468N
Component: GW-BEM 4CAN-M
Software version: 0056
ASAM/ODX identifier: [none]
Coding: 80CF07FF00 (hex)
Fault codes:
00384 Optical Databus

Radio

Sound system

Infotainment system

Otherwise nothing has changed or been fiddled with on the car. Is the Radio all part of the MMI and the shorting means the MMI has blown? Please no!

I dont understand how the MMI does still from time to time power on though if the fuse is blown for the radio?

Any help much appreciated
