Quick Tyre Question (Please Help)

Hey guys,

Deleted my earlier post, as I found my own answer, however yet have another tyre issue .

Have a set of OEM 8J 18" S line alloys, ET43 and considering Michelin PS3's. Which would be a better choice considering not wanting to deal with arch rubbing issues and also planning to lower the car in the near future, 215 or 225 width and also 35 or 40 profile?

And also as 215 is a bit stretched and 35 is low profile do any of these affect the tyres lifespan (mileage coverage)?

To me 40 gives you softer ride, also 8J = 203.2mm and 215mm tyres makes sense for this setup...

I'm really wanting to go for 225/40 however am not sure about arch clearance as its 8J?

My 18 inch oem s line alloys are 7.5 j but I run 225 40 on my aftermarket 8js and they look and run fine

If you want OEM better with 7.5J & spacers.
225's on 8J look spot on.
Don't go lower than 225.

Thank you for the reply, will be going for 225/40. My oem slines are 8J looks real nice but also do have 12mm and 8mm spacers incase.
