Quick question...

Hello all

Can someone tell me if washer bottles are all the same - I have seen this one for a cabby, but will it also fit a S4 saloon?

hmmm, it looks the same, but the wings are diffrant on the cab, so duno, as it fits into the iner wing???

Been offered one from a breakersyard for £33.60 inc postage... Fair price??

oh and for the record, according to the vendor on ebay the bottle for the cabby wont fit the saloon...

I can't see that Passat one fitting. This gives you the part number for an S4 saloon and those alternatives which are suitable:

So if I am reading this correctly, the bottle is in 2 halves...

Top half 8E0 955 453 AM
Bottom half 8E0 955 967

Hmmmm???

Seems that way yes, do you know which half is leaking...???

No not had chance to look as yet.

I have heard it could be just the seal between the two bottles? And a fix can be done with some silicone? Wheel off time this weekend if the weather holds out.

Job done.

A pipe had come off, one leading from the small detachable bottle at the bottom where the pump is located. God only knows how it came off as it's a clip / lock join!!

However pushed it back on (not easy as very tight)

No leaks.. I can now see what radio station I am tuned into!!
