quick question regarding map removal on s3 8p

as above just bought a s3 8p and guy says he removed the revo 2 plus map by removing bat for 20 mins and that reset the ecu to standard is this the case and if so is it possible to get the map back or it more hassle than its worth ??? just never really looked into these things till now cheers mark

You need a member with a Revo Serial Port Switch as the settings go to 0

You also need the setting the car had when it was mapped.
The dealer or revo hq should be able to help with the receipt.
