Can anyone have quick read of this to see if I have things right please?

On an AGU is the catch can as simple as: -

Hose from oil filter housing
Hose from rocker cover
These join at a T piece with runs to the catch can

I'm planning on venting to atmosphere so would I use a bung in the TIP and route the vent hose appropriately?

Sounds a little too simple, am I missing something?

It really is that simple mate.

Once you've removed the PCV crap from under the inlet mani you need to plug that one up, but otherwise, that's it!

Sorry your PM didn't get through, just emptied my inbox now :icon_thumright:

You can use bolts to bung up the TIP, can't remember the exact size but the one I put in there is nice and snug, clamped it in for good measure and it's passed 2 smoke tests since

Would reinforced PVC hose be OK (clear so I can see any build up) or would heat be an issue with this type of hose?

Sorry for dragging an old thread.

I plan on venting to atmosphere, do I really need a catch can?

The cheaper eBay ones don't have baffles or anything so I thought there's not much point to me having one.

Thoughts?

Open it cheap one and fill with steel wool , this has been done and I think you may vent oil/ watery stuff to the road and bottom of car, I think not very safe :(
