Heyo guys.
Quick question about the front slam panel and the bonnet.

Do the slam panels differ in sizes depending on what engine is in the 8P? In my case I got a 1.6 and there is one for sale from a 2.0. It should still be the same size right?

In terms of bonnet, I got a 2010 Audi S-Line. Will a bonnet from a 2004 s-line fit? The buyer lists it as 8P MK2 (whatever that means)

Thank you for any and all information.

Right, so I had a bit more of a look around the forums and I found two relevant threads for the bonnet. However they are conflicting against each other.
https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a3-8p-bonnet-confusion.237739/ - In this one it says that 8P2 & 8P3 are different, even thought the original question was being asked about an 8P1 (twin grill instead of one single large one).
https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/will-a-5-door-bonnet-fit-a-3-door.235796/ - Then in this one it is said that any bonnet from a single grill will fit on fine (any bonnet not from an Audi A3 8P1)

Am I correct to assume that as long as the bonnet is NOT taken from an 8P1 it will fit fine on my 8P3 Audi?

And just in case any of you don't know what I am waffling on about regarding 8P1, 8P2 & 8P3. I am using the following terminology:

slam panel is the same regardless of engine size, but varies depending on year. you need an 08-12. part number 8P0805588L

bonnet again difers by year. you need an 08-12 bonnet. a 8p1 or 8p2 wont fit. 8P0823029E

Hi guys. Sorry for bumping old thread, but didn't found what I was looking for. Are the slam panel of 2006 A3 2.0 TDI (140 hp) fits A3 2004 1.9 ( 105 hp)? Thanks

Btw Radiator supports are very slightly different between cars in the 8P range where I’ve had to make new holes and adjustments for the bumper mounting screws.

I would recommend you just get the part number and buy the same one off eBay if you are also having to replace this as well.

The problem is that I can't find the part number on it. I think it should be on a sticker, but it is not readable.. And thats with most of the slam panels I saw.. I already got one from 2.0 TDI, but am not able to try it now, thats why I asked here.

It’s moulded into the plastic on the front side in the very bottom left corner 8P0......

Found the part number today. The genuine one is : 8p0 805 594 , and the one I bought is 8p0 805 594 A. Don't know if they could be changed.

Only difference I found was horn mounting angle and the lower 3 bumper mounting screws.

Easy to workaround.
